Privacy PolicyThe Shetland Smokehouse respects your privacy! Any and all information collected at this site will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, loaned, or otherwise disclosed.
Any information you give to the Shetland Smokehouse will be held with the utmost care, and will not be used in ways that you have not consented to, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
1. Resale or disclosure of information to third parties: Shetland Smokehouse does not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease any personal information collected at this site, including membership forms or email lists.
2. Browser information collected on the website www.shetlandsmokehouse.co.uk does not collect and analyze logs.
3. Use of cookies: We use "session variables". These are pices of information such as your email address that are seen by your browser only and last only while you are on our site. We use this information to be able to send confirmation emails
4. Privacy of email list: The Shetland Smokehouse maintains an email list to keep its customers informed about products, offers and news. We don't sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease the addresses on my list to anyone. You can opt out of these mailings at any time by contacting admin@shetlandsmokehouse.co.uk
5. We do not require any sensitive information such as race or religious information

Definitions
1."The Shetland Smokehouse Ltd" is a private company registered in Scotland 97348
2."The Customer" refers to the person ordering and paying for the goods sold by The Shetland Smokehouse Ltd
3."Working days" - Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays are not considered to be working days with regard to despatch and delivery lead times.
4."Carrier" is the company used by The Shetland Smokehouse Ltd to deliver orders. Our Carrier may vary from time to time and for different destinations, but generally we use Parcelforce 24 hour delivery, offering a tracking service for the benefit of the customer.
5. Refunds.If, for any reason, a customer is unsatisfied with a product we urge them to please contact us by telephone or email for an immediate replacement or refund.
6. Cancellation. You have the right to cancel your order at any time prior to despatch.
Return, refund and cancellation policy
1.We have no minimum order quantity.
2.Our prices are all in UK Pounds.
3.If a credit or debit card order has to be refunded because of a mistake by the customer then The Shetland Smokehouse Ltd reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £1.00. Refunds will only be made through the same card that was used to make the original purchase.
4.Shipping will be added to your order for destinations within the UK (excluding Channel Islands) where applicable, such cost having been clearly intimated beforehand. Perishable items are shipped with refrigerant gel-packs to maintain chill temperatures in transit. Other destinations attract supplementary shipping charges for which the customer must get a quotation from The Shetland Smokehouse Ltd before submitting an order. Trade customers and buyer club customers will not be charged for delivery.
5.Despatch and delivery times are not guaranteed although we make every effort to despatch credit card orders within 3 working days of order. If, for any reason we are unable to deliver, a representative from the Shetland Smokehouse will contact the customer to arrange an alternative delivery date or arrange a refund if preferred.
6.For mainland England, Wales and southern/central Scotland the time from despatch to delivery is normally 2 working days although our Carrier may deliver in less. Our Carrier requires a signature on delivery of the parcel. Our Carrier does have a facility whereby the customer can collect an order if it cannot be delivered. Our Carrier will only deliver during normal business hours.
7.For northern Scotland, Northern Ireland and islands off mainland UK (excluding Channel Islands) delivery is commonly 3 working days from despatch but, on occasions, may be longer.
8.All goods sold by The Shetland Smokehouse Ltd comply with UK and EC food and food product regulations and labelling requirements.
9.All dealings with The Shetland Smokehouse Ltd shall be deemed to have taken place in Scotland and are subject to the laws, consumer protection and business practices of Scotland
10. Refunds. If you are in any way dissatisfied with our service or the quality of our goods we will re-imburse or replace the item at no cost to you. Please call or email for immediate response.
11. Cancellation.You may cancel your order at any time prior to despatch
